E 10 121 was present at Rheine on a cancelled stem bonanza on 28 May 2005. That weekend, the 30th anniversary of the last coal-fired DB Pacifics in the Rheine area ought have been commemmorated, but DB banned steam operatoions due to hot weather conditions and the risk of bush fires. Instead of two steam locos, the Dutch railway fans that travveled from Rotterdam to Rheine had to make do with an old electric. 
