When the sun is low, the light reaches the Château d'Aigle too late for it to be adequately illuminated as a background for railway pictures and so I had to look for a new location for this

When the sun is low, the light reaches the Château d'Aigle too late for it to be adequately illuminated as a background for railway pictures and so I had to look for a new location for this photo, where the TPC ASD ABe was in the middle of the vineyards above Aigle 4/8 472 was photographed as R 71 on the way to Les Diablerets.

The TPC AOMC / ASD Beh 2/6 542 ‘La Forteresse’ is travelling from Aigle to Les Diablerets as R71 440 and can be seen in the vineyards above Aigle. On the left of the picture, the castle of Aigle can be seen in the background. Although the Beh 2/6 N° 541 - 547 have been able to run on the ASD since they were put into service by TPC, they are rarely seen here. 9 February 2026 
