The 12.4 km long TMB (Tramway du Mont-Blanc) rack railway has been running from Saint Gervais les Bains Le Fayet station to the Nid d'Aigle in the Mont Blanc massif since 1913, with the first section to Col de Voza having been opened in the summer of 1908. A curious feature is the ‘naming’ of the vehicles: they have no identification or number but are named after the director's daughters, and each train has its own colour. At the hairpin bend between Le Fayet and St-Gervais, the green ANNE with the control car of the same name is on its way to Col de Voza; the rest of the route is currently closed due to avalanche danger. 21 February 2026 

Den 12,4 km långa TMB (Tramway du Mont-Blanc) tandradbanan har gått från Saint Gervais les Bains Le Fayet station till Nid d'Aigle i Mont Blanc-massivet sedan 1913, med den första sträckan till Col de Voza som öppnades sommaren 1908. En märklig egenskap är fordonens "namngivning": de har ingen identifiering eller nummer utan är uppkallade efter direktörens döttrar, och varje tåg har sin egen färg. Vid hårnålskurvan mellan Le Fayet och St-Gervais är den blå MARIE med styrvagnen med samma namn på väg från Col de Voza till Saint Gervais les Bains Le Fayet tågstation. 21 februari 2026 
