Sadly against the light: on 19 September 2023 SNCF 7269 hauls a corail train into Paris Austerlitz. From 2025 these loco services are almost gone, having been taken over by hybrid multiple units. 

The saga of Class BB 7200 direct current electrics is about to end and within perhaps two years the 240 strong Class might be gone. One of the last services of this class is a fast train, seen here on the evening of 18 September 2023 at Paris gare de Lyon with 7248 ready for departure. 
