Hello Hans,
concerning your first question, the Admins don't have the possibility to change this mistake. But Thomas has been informed, he will take care of it.
The categorie Netherlands/Stations with both classifications (town/province) is in our opinion ok and should be also applicated for other countries. If there are many towns situated in a specific province, they may be regrouped under the name of this province or region.
