In un piovoso 24 luglio 1998, la SNCF 15053 si trova con carrozze Grand Comfort come EC VICTOR HUGO per Paris Est alla stazione di Lussemburgo. Le locomotive della classe 15000 sono state consegnate in quattro lotti, l'ultimo lotto 15050-15065 con griglie di ventilazione simmetriche, mentre i primi tre lotti avevano griglie asimmetriche. Con un programma di modernizzazione intensivo, i primi tre lotti hanno ricevuto griglie fissate in modo simmetrico. 
