È interessante notare che entrambi i pantografi per 15 kV, 16,7 Hz AC sono sollevati sul filo di contatto. La TRAXX F140 AC1 è stata costruita nel 2001 da ADtranz (ABB Daimler-Benz Transportation GmbH) a Kassel con il numero di fabbrica 33427. È omologata per Germania e Francia.
