An old photo from my archive: ETR 450 001 waits at Rome Termini for departure to Milan. The first-class train's travel time back then was remarkably short, just four hours! (Today, thanks to high-speed lines, the journey takes 2 hours 59 minutes.) Analogue photo from June 1991 
