DB Cargo POlska 3E1-100 stands in Rzepin on 3 May 2018. This used to be a PKP Clas ET21 electric, 726 of that design having ben build betwen 1957 and 1971. From 1991, PKP began to withdrawn these sturdy, but after years of heavy duties seriously worn out locos, mostly due to the post-Communist collapse of freight traffic. Private operators however were speedy after 2000 to catch some of these machines and still deploy them with succes. Leonardus Schrijvers

On 2 May 2018 EU04-24 stands in the Railway and Industrial Museum of Jaworzyna Slaska. Class EU04 were build by LEW in Henningsdorf because the Polish industry had not sufficient experience in the construction of electric locomotives. The 25 build locos however were not exactly a triumph, construcion failures leadin many times to cracks in the body work and the electric equipment was too heavy. Build in 1955/56, these locos were withdrawn from crack passenger services (for which they were build in the first place) and reduced to freight service in the south of Poland untill the last were withdrawn in 1983. EU04-24 however survives at Jaworzyna Slaska. Leonardus Schrijvers
