In Vallese, in una valle laterale nascosta, già vicino al confine con l'Italia, ho trovato un nuovo FLIRT, che si chiama EVO. Probabilmente sarà uno dei primi treni di questa serie in servizio regolare: a Orsières, il TMR Region Alpes RABe 533 601 è in attesa come R82 26325 per la partenza verso Sembrancher. Il nuovo TMR Region Alpes RABe 533 701 con lo stemma Commune de St Léonard e il nome corrispondente La Souterraine porta il numero UIC RABe 94 85 0 533 701-4 CH-RA. 24 gennaio 2026

At the St-Gingolph terminus, located on the border with France, the variety of rolling stock is rather limited. However, over time, a number of different types have accumulated; I wouldn't go all the way back to the C 5/6 series, but from the BDe 4/4 and NINA trains to the Domino series, there has been quite a bit to see here. Until last year, BLS RABe 528 MIKA trains were also used here once a day (on weekdays), but with the commissioning of the new EVO Flirt trains, this is now a thing of the past. Instead, these new EVO trains are now seen more frequently in St-Gingolph: The picture shows Region Alpes RABe 533 702 (RABe 94 85 0 533 702-2 CH RA), which arrived in St-Gingolph as R91 6118 from Brig (14:06) and will return to Brig as R91 6123 (departing at 14:51). In the meantime, the train is being cleaned, or rather, photographed by me. May 26, 2026
