The IR CIE diesel railcar 2601 is in Cobh and is waiting for the return journey to Cork / Corcaih. The sea can be seen to some extent on the left of the picture. Today Cobh is a small port town, but is THE port of emigration in Ireland, associated with all the sorrow and song that such a farewell brings with it.
