Class M7 -803 Brush locomotive in intercity livery is hauling a local train in Mar 2007. Subsequently these locos were withdrawn from all hill country routes after a major accident and did not get a chance to work on ICE trains.

Class M7 -803 Borstelocomotief in intercity-kleuren trekt in maart 2007 een stoptrein. Vervolgens werden deze locomotieven van alle berglandroutes teruggetrokken na een ernstig ongeluk en kregen ze geen kans om op ICE-treinen te rijden. 

Class M7 -809 Brush locomotive seen at Mahawa in bad condition in Aug 2007. Later this was repaired and a new coat of paint was given. Refer 14706 / 14703.

16 of these class M7 locomotives were introduced to the service in 1981. Builder – Brush and powered by 1000 HP GM V8 engines. It is believe that all 16 are not in service. The one in the picture was taken on the mainline doing a local service in July 2012.

WDM (Varanasi class) M8 diesel electric locomotive 848 on the turntable at Anuradhapura station on Jun 2012, I was helping the turn table operator by giving a small push.

Ez azt mutatja be, hogyan lettem kaszkadőr egy 110 tonnás mozdony meglökésével. WDM (Varanasi osztály) M8 dízel-elektromos mozdony 848 az anuradhapurai állomás fordítókorongján 2012 júniusában, segítettem a fordítókorong kezelőjének egy kis lökéssel. 

Class M9 French ALSTOM RUSHTON DIESEL. 10 of these were introduced to SLR and very few are remaining in service. This is an unidentified( number missing ) M9 travers down Kadugannawa with an empty rake of fuel wagons on 6th July 2012.

M9-es osztályú francia ALSTOM RUSHTON DIESEL. Ezekből 10-et vezettek be az SLR-nél, és nagyon kevés maradt szolgálatban. Ez egy azonosítatlan (szám hiányzik) M9-es, amely 2012. július 6-án üres üzemanyag-kocsikból álló szerelvénnyel halad át Kadugannawán. 

Passing Lions Mouth, train passes through an overhanging rock on the way to Kadugannawa on 6th 1uly 2012. The train is negotiating a bend and that is the reason for its tilt towards the cliff. These engines were gifted by the Canadian government and all were named with different provinces. This was named “ Montrial”.

A Lions Mouth szikla mellett, a vonat egy túlnyúló sziklán halad át Kadugannawa felé 2012. július 6-án. A vonat egy kanyart vesz, ezért dől a sziklafal felé. Ezeket a mozdonyokat a kanadai kormány ajándékozta, és mindegyiket különböző tartományokról nevezték el. Ennek a neve „Montrial” volt. 
