Former NS 2412 stands in Beekbergen, head quarters of the VSM, on 28 July 2023. In 1952 the first batch of Class 2400 were painted blue for projected passenger service, but as NS decided to go for DMUs, the 2400s soon received a dark brown colour for deployment in freight service. Railway Bishop: former NS 2530 enjoys the Sun at the VSM headquarters in Beekbergen on 28 July 2023. Due to her unique purple-pinkish colours, 2530 earned the nickname Bishop. In 2019 VSM restored the till then brown Bishop in the purple-pink investiture. Leonardus Schrijvers
Almost ready! VSM bought 41 241 from a German pre3servation society and spent a few years to restore her in operational condition -a deliberate choice and not an afterthought. If all goes as planned, August will see test rides for 41 241 in preparation for the formal public oustingf during the Terug naar Toen train bonanza, each yera held on the first full weekend of September. NS(M) 273 quits Nijmegen on a condition ride on 13 May 2023. A planned transfer haul of an even older EMU from Blerick to Utrecht-Maliebaan was cancelled due to a technical damage on that older EMU, but was no cause at all to cancel a nice condition ride. Leonardus Schrijvers
